A Boozy Bottomless Brunch at The Lost and Found | Birmingham

March 13, 2018

So bottomless brunches are finally sweeping the UK. Not just confined to London, you can find yourself one in most cities now. On a recent weekend we checked out the bottomless brunch at The Lost and Found in Birmingham.

As part of its reopening we bagged ourselves soft launch spaces to check out the new bottomless brunch at The Lost and Found. Half price for bottomless brunch?! I’d have been mad to turn down Laura‘s invite! So I rocked up, mildly hungover thanks to Dr W, on a bright and sunny Sunday morning for an afternoon of food drinking.

I suppose this is where I chuck in the caveat. No people, you do not need to get wrecked at bottomless brunch. But ahem I may have accidentally done so… Monday hangovers are NOT THE ONE. But regardless of this I super enjoyed brunch. So what did we have?!

I picked the Smashed Avo with Bacon on Sour Dough. Perfectly poached eggs, crunchy, salty bacon and glorious amounts of avo blessed my plate. I seriously enjoyed this and could’ve had something more after, and probably should’ve because, well booze. Laura opted for the Turkish Eggs, which looked delightful. Vicky and I had picked the same thing and were in agreement that it was pretty perfect. Lastly the lovely Fay went with the Corn, Butternut Squash and Chilli Hash, which to be honest was the biggest portion of the lot, and well the sensible decision in my book if you’re planning on tanking the bottomless side of things…

The booze options were Fizz, Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s. You’re fixed with what you pick but if you ask your mates nicely maybe you can mix and match by switching with each other. I mainly stuck to Mimosas as the Bloody Mary was a bit spicy for me on that day (usually I’m not such a wimp but my tummy didn’t like it – I blame the red wine from the night before!)

Overall, despite my hangover and losing half of my Sunday to drunken napping, I had a fab time. The Lost and Found refurb has led to a very tasteful setting in the restaurant with plenty of light. I’ll be back to try out the menu and cocktails soon I think!

Have you been for Bottomless Brunch before? Would you check out The Lost and Found? Let me know in the comments,

You have so many options in London too! I recommend Bad Egg or if you’re feeling fancy Le Pont de la Tour 🙂

The smashed avo looks interesting! Yum. Even though I am not a fan of sourdough bread this combination of avocado and bacon would make it so tasty

It was seriously tasty! I’m not usually a fan of sour dough but the eggs and avo work well with it.

The decor is stunning. I would love to go there for drinks. The squash dish looks great, so does the avocado on toast (no bacon for me though).

I’ve never been to a bottomless lunch, it sounds like a fun afternoon and would be perfect for a girly lunch and shopping day if you didn’t drink too much haha.

The food looks lovely on your photos and sounds like they was decent portions too.

Il be checking in my city for something like this now

It would be good to go shopping beforehand and use brunch as a reward 🙂

You’re the second person to tell me how amazing bottomless brunch is – I need to try it! I’m very much a fizz fan, the more the better. I can imagine mixed with eggs royale it’ll be a real winner!
