Winter Outfit Ideas with Outdoor and Country

December 21, 2015

It’s been unseasonably warm this last week or so, but earlier this month it was a bit nippy up north and thankfully Outdoor and Country sent me a wonderful hat to keep me warm. I just hope the colder weather comes back again so I can wear it more…

Barbour Sub Knit Hat* – Outdoor and Country
Barbour Seafarer – Similar here
Curve and Fit Jeans – M&S
Black tee – Primark
Hunter Wellies – Outdoor and Country

I’m usually anti-hat, when I had a bob I’d look bald/silly if I wore one, but now my hair is a little longer it looks so much better! I decided to team my Barbour Sub Knit Hat from Outdoor and Country (in huckleberry) with my new Barbour Seafarer jacket I treated myself too when we were away. Personally I am all for bright colours in winter, otherwise the dreary days feel drearier. The added addition of my bright red Hunter wellies help keep my feet dry and complete the outfit too.

I rather like my new hat, it’s such a cute colour and wonderfully warm. And whilst this may not be the most glamorous outfit I’ve ever worn, it’s a practical outfit for these rainy/wintery days we’re having a lot of at the moment! And of course the perfect outfit for Sunday and Bank Holiday walks in the countryside (that of course finish in a pub). So when we go off on our Boxing Day and New Year’s Day walks, you all know what I’ll be wearing!

What’s your go to winter outfit? How do you keep warm? Let me know in the comments,

I love your yellow raincoat! Bright colours for this time of year are key for me – I’ve always been stuck in ending up wearing black and grey come winter so I’m trying to push myself out to buy more colourful things now and whenever I see bright boots or raincoats I love it – takes me back to being a kid again as I used to have dotty boots and a red raincoat! You look lovely! – Tasha

Thank you! It’s definitely one of my favourite wardrobe items 🙂 I try and avoid black and grey but it’s almost impossible with work clothes! Glad you like my outfit x

You say your outfit isn’t glamorous, but hey, at least you’re practical which is pretty important! I love that outfit too – especially the yellow coat. YOU ROCK IT GIRL! X

I’m usually hat mad at this time of year but this crazy weather has led me astray!

Love the coat though – might have to treat myself once Christmas is over xx

It’s a little crazy this weather isn’t it?! We got a little glimpse of snow last weekend but I’m seriously missing it. It’s definitely worth checking out the Barbour sales, mine was a sale item and I got it at less than half price 🙂

I have so much amazing winter clothes sent to me this year, but I have not been able to wear hardly any of it before of this crazy weather. What’s going on!?

Mad isn’t it?! The hat has come in handy when we’ve been out on evening strolls when it’s colder, and it was actually snowy when we were away last weekend! But other than that it’s crazy isn’t it?!

Me too! You have to add a bit of brightness to dull days don’t you now?!
