Almost Famous and Hellmann’s have teamed up to create a limited edition burger, the Frickin’ Hell Mann, available for a few short weeks in August. Dr C was lucky enough to be invited down to have a try of this epic looking burger.
Over to Dr C…
When we got to Almost Famous we knew what we were here for. Wasting no time in putting in our orders for the Frickin’ Hell Mann Burger! Whether this was stupidly or not, we also decided to split a portion of the Baddaboom Fries. Curly fries topped with marinara sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Pretty much pizza fries and pretty incredible.
From seeing the press photos we knew the burger was going to be big. But I guess we didn’t quite appreciate how big it was really going to be! So what’s in this epic burger?! 2 Almost Famous beef patties, a macaroni cheese “skirt”, BBQ smoked pulled pork, fried pickles (frickles) and lashing of Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise and Hellmann’s American Smokey BBQ Sauce. It may sound like a Frankenstein of a burger, but it seriously worked!
Trying to tackle how to eat it was somewhat of a challenge. We both took different approaches and got there in the end. My dinner date went with picking the whole thing up, dislocating his jaw and munching the whole thing. I went with eating all the loose bits round the outside. Then giving it’s a squish and attempting to fit it in my mouth! Needless to say that I failed! It’s a messy old burger. Not one for the fainted hearted, but it was absolutely delicious. I would certainly order it again, possibly after skipping lunch that day to make room though! Our meal was washed down with a Bitch Juice and Cherry Bomb cocktails – both absolutely delicious!
So what do you do to try this for yourself? Well head on down to Almost Famous in Leeds, Manchester or Liverpool until 24th August to give it a go! I’d highly recommend any burger fan check this out!
