Today it’s over to Ms M who was recently invited down to Grand Daddy’s Diner in Manchester for dinner. Let’s see what she thought…
Over to Ms M… Let me just kick this one off by saying that we had a fab evening checking out the new menu at the fairly new Grand Daddy’s Diner just off Oxford Road. We kicked off with a quick drink in Sandbar which is located opposite and then a fantastic dinner at Grand Daddy’s Diner. While this review isn’t about Sandbar, I must say that if anyone is thinking about going, they really should consider Grand Daddy’s Diner as an alternative to the other eateries nearby. They offer good, all-American food, what could be better?
To drink, it was a round of milkshakes. A Nutty Professor for me (of course, there was Nutella involved), Cinnamon Buns for Mr C and Ms H, and Mr R opted for the Peanut Butter. All great milkshakes. I thought the Nutty Professor was best, of course. But the others were also fantastic and really tasty twists that one can only really expect from an American diner.
To eat, 4 fantastic burgers; an Egg ‘n’ Bacon, a Big Daddy, a Fried Chicken and a Louisiana Chilli. Some came with “GD sauce” – so scrummy, it really should be added to all of them! 4 great burgers, just 4 examples of fab American food, all great choices. Grand Daddy’s Diner is a fantastic restaurant offering great American food at a very reasonable price. Next time you’re thinking of going out for a drink in the area, definitely think about going to Grand Daddy’s Diner for a quick bite – the service is quick, the staff are friendly and the food is fantastic (and in my opinion, a much better option than the nearby alternatives)!
Have you checked out Grand Daddy’s Diner yet? Let me know in the comments,
