Ok so this is it guys. The first festive post of 2017! And it’s about something that you can buy ahead of the festivities and will mean you have some festive goodies all ready for the big day. What am I talking about? A Christmas Hamper of course!
The guys at hamper.com hit me up with an amazing Foodie Christmas Hamper to share with Dr W. The Classic Festive Hamper contains lots of goodies that (if they survive our terrible will power) we will be sharing on Christmas Day. I really like the open hamper look compared to the usual picnic hamper style. Afterwards it’s going to make a great storage box!
The Classic Collection Hamper
First up the important thing, booze. In this hamper there is a bottle of Prosecco to chill down and get your Christmas Day going. There is also a wonderful bottle of Rioja that will definitely be on the Christmas Dinner table this year. Hamper.com also offer booze free hampers, you can search by your requirements on their easy to use hamper search bar.
Now let’s get this straight, there may be a lot of baking on my post, but savoury is definitely my bag. I will be working out how I can mainly eat this cheese to myself. Dr W is hugely into spice, so he’s quite excited to try the jalapeno jam.
Every hamper needs nibbles, there’s cookies and shortbread. But also Dundee cake and cheesy biccies. I imagine on Christmas day there may well be some fighting over these. There are specific hampers for sweet treats, but we thought the Classic Hamper was the perfect mix of everything to share on the big day.
Last but not least, sweet treats! These are the ones I’ve had to hide well away as they are most likely to be eaten before the big day! The chocolate truffles sound amazing, but it’s the amaretto flutes that I’m most looking forward to trying.
Over all it’s quite exciting really! I do love a good hamper. So have you bought a Christmas Gift Hamper for the big day before? Or would you get one as a gift for someone? Let me know in the comments,
P.S. I was sent my Christmas Hamper for review. As ever all words, photos and opinions are my own.
