It’s quite clear I like food and I’m quite lucky that I get to try lots of new things. It’s been a while since I’ve shared one of these posts, but these are my Foodie Finds for July.
This month I have quite a fun range of Foodie Finds. Summer always seems to bring with it some exciting things to try (and also gin).
#1 Perrier Flavoured Sparkling Water
Lately I’ve been trying out the new flavours of Perrier Sparkling Water. These offer me a pick me up because of the bubbles, but have next to no sugar in them so I avoid that inevitable sugar crash after a sweet fizzy drink, and vaguely keep the dentist on side. The Green Apple is a personal favourite, but there is also a lemon flavour. I’ve been enjoying these flavoured waters with my lunches. My current favourite lunch involves avocado, mackerel, lettuce and tomatoes.
#2 Pizza Express Leggera Pizza
Recently Pizza Express have released their Leggera range of pizzas to the pizza aisles. These thinner pizzas, with healthier toppings give you your pizza hit. But with far less calories! I really enjoyed the Squash, Kale and Goat’s Cheese Pizza, although it could’ve done with a little bit more cheese for my liking… But I suppose that would make it unhealthy!
#3 All Bar One Worcester
Last week Mummy Pond and I checked out the brand new All Bar One in Worcester. Such a stylish place with it’s own amazing Aperol Bar (a space also used for cocktail masterclasses). We tried some smaller versions of the dishes on the menu, all quite yummy, and enjoyed a lot of Aperol. I can’t wait to head back and try it out properly.
#4 Pudology Desserts
Dr W and I recently checked out Pudology Desserts. These are not desserts we would usually try as they are vegan and gluten free. Something neither of us are/require. Dr W immediately became a huge fan and we have a couple of friends we would definitely recommend them too. Sadly for me I wasn’t a fan of the texture of either of the chocolatey ones. The Millionaires Pud was yummy though once I got over the chocolate texture…! I guess they just weren’t for me.
#5 Martin Millers Gin
Last but not least, I have been having fun creating cocktails with Martin Millers Gin. This is one of my all time favourite gins. If you’re a non-gin drinker it’s worth a try, it’s like no other and is very easy on the palate because it is blended with Icelandic Water, making it so smooth. I highly recommend serving with light tonic (low sugar) with strawberries and ground black pepper. Delicious and refreshing for summer! Please check back next week when I’ll be sharing my gin cocktails with you!
What have you found lately that you enjoy? Have you tried any of my foodie finds? Let me know in the comments,
