Here we are, the first blog of October and a food round up of September. With my holiday and a number of other opportunities September brought with it a lot of Foodie Finds!
I already have some interesting foodie adventures on the cards for October, but let’s recap all of September’s wonderful Foodie Finds shall we…
Crafted Juices by the Cracker Drinks Co.
These Crafted Juices blend some wonderful flavours, that are all really delicious served on ice. I really enjoyed the Pineapple, Coconut and Lime flavour. It was a personal favourite of mine. However, Dr W really enjoyed the Mango and Passionfruit. These were refreshing drinks and would also make perfect mixers for vodka or rum. You can check them out in Sainsbury’s, Asda and Waitrose.
So it’s slightly inappropriate to just pull out a jar of Nutella in the work place. That’s where Nutella B-Ready comes in. This is pure Nutella wrapped in a biscuity case. You have to be careful because they’re a bit delicate on the squishing front. But they are wonderfully tasty. Any Nutella fan will love these.
I’m a little
lot late discussing this. I got quite ill and was off work for over a week in the run up to Pride. I had planned to share this over the bank holiday weekend with some Pride themed cocktails thanks to the Smirnoff Vodka Pride Edition. But not to worry, I will share the recipes I cam up with later this month as Pride should be celebrated all year round!
Lily O’Briens Dessert Chocolates Collection
This month Irish chocolatiers Lily O’Briens have brought out a brand new collection. This one is based on some of the best desserts and is super tasty. I have some recipes to share with you based on the collection, so keep an eye out throughout October for these! Btu if you do get your hands on these chocs, Dr W and I would both champion the Creme Brûlée flavour.
Sheffield Dry Gin
I mentioned this gin in my Trippets Lounge Bar post, but it really is wonderful. Made in the traditional way, but to give it that Sheffield twist they include Henderson’s Relish in the still. It’s a more savoury dry gin, and it’s pretty delicious with a slice of lemon, Indian tonic and ice. After discovering them this month, I’ve started to see them pop up a bit more outside of Sheffield. Hopefully it will end up quite a popular gin!
Shell Bay Restaurant, Studland
Ok so I know I’ve already written about this place in a blog post. But honestly the food at Shell Bay Restaurant was so incredible. In the down season they only open at weekends, so if you’re in the area you should totally get yourself booked in for dinner.
Have you tried any of my Foodie Finds for September? Let me know in the comments,
P.S. * Contains PR Samples.
