We’ve been trying hard at Meat Free Monday’s in our household lately. Sometimes Monday isn’t a day where I’m feeling that creative cooking wise, because it’s always a busy day! So that’s when veggie range Goodlife come in.
Goodlife have a great range of vegetarian frozen products. They’ve been going for over 25 years and use vegetables from Great Britain’s best farmers. The range is really versatile, with many recipes ideas, perfect for Meat-Free Mondays or those who are a full-time vegetarian. They’re also vegetarian society approved. So shall we see what Dr W and I got our hands on to try.
For breakfast we decided to swap out our usual sausages and try the Goodlife Leek and Caerphilly Cheese Glamorgan Sausages. Spoiler alert!! These were actually my favourite of the whole week. The cheese inside was gooey, the texture of the sausages was perfect and they went so well with eggs and roast tomatoes. So breakfast was a complete success!
Now I always take a packed lunch to work, usually some kind of chicken salad. So for a couple of days I switched things up with some products from Goodlife instead. The Sunblush Tomato Grills with Black Olives were absolutely delicious. I cooked them the night before, then chopped them up into bite size chunks for my lunch box. Perfect! They were super tasty with spinach and tomato, I also didn’t have any problems with being hungry after. The grills were packed with filling protein.
For Meat Free Monday, Dr W and I were both feeling very lazy. So we jumped to the Bean Burgers with a Kick of Chipotle. Serving them with roasted peppers, sweet potato and plenty of cheese. I don’t really eat bread and the burgers were fine without a bun, in fact I don’t think you’d need one! The dinner went down a treat and Dr W will tell you this was his favourite meal of the week.
I’d just like to thank Goodlife for encouraging us to be a bit more inspired about going Meat Free. We will definitely be trying more of your range! The Mushroom & Spinnach Kievs are on the food planner this week. If you want to try Goodlife veggie products they are available at Waitrose, Ocado and recently they’ve been added to Icelands stock. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking to eat less meat in their diet.
Have you tried Goodlife products before? What would you like to try? Let me know in the comments,
P.S. Post in collaboration with Goodlife. As ever all words, photos and opinions my own.
