Big Christmas Night In with Butterkist

December 19, 2017

With the run up to Christmas everything has been rather demanding and it’s taken it’s toll slightly. Thankfully Dr W and I had very little planned for this weekend and decided to spend a couple of nights in watching Christmas films. Butterkist also sent us a stash of popcorn to devour whilst doing so.

This Christmas Holiday why not plan a big night in for yourself as well? Stock up on Butterkist popcorn and pile up the DVDs or go through Netflix to find things to watch. Christmas can be quite a manic and stressful time so planning to take some time out from it can help.

For me, annoyingly my joints have been playing up a bit, so it’s put a halt on some of my festive plans. I know it’s probably a sign that I need to slow down a bit and take bit of my own lectures on self care. So at the weekend I decided to not stress myself out by doing Christmas shopping from the comfort of the sofa and watching Christmas films. Writing a Christmas To Do List helped as well, as it doesn’t seem like I have as much to do now!

I introduced Dr W to National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (a must watch if you haven’t already). As well as watching old favourites like Scroodged and Love Actually. It was really quite lovely to spend a relaxed weekend together, especially as Christmas will involve lots of travel for us. I have to admit I’m looking forward to our Christmas vacation in Scotland quite a lot! Just over a week until we leave for mountains, lots of food and a hot tub!

I love movie nights, snuggled on the couch and eating snacks. Just relaxing.

I have recently seen Elf for the very first time and must admit I love it! Love Actually is a great Christmas film too as well as The Holiday.

OMG it really is the best. Tbh I was late to seeing Elf too. I had no idea what all the fuss was about!
