Easy Christmas Shopping at Gallagher Shopping Park, Cheltenham | AD

December 14, 2018

Conveniently we have a couple of free weekends before the big day this year to do our Christmas shopping. Last week we headed to Gallagher Shopping Park in Cheltenham to kick things off.

AD – This is a collaboration with Gallagher Shopping Park.

Now I used to be a big fan of hitting the high street early on a Sunday morning to do shopping. But recently I’ve been hitting the internet and enjoying click and collect. However, when it comes to Christmas I do still like to have a look at what’s on offer in person. Realising that Gallagher Shopping Park has a lot of High St stores on site, but is a bit out of Cheltenham town makes it a convenient visit and a quieter one too.

Gallagher Shopping Park is less than two miles from Cheltenham town centre and the local train station. There are more than 500 free parking bays in the car park with disabled as well as parent and child spots available. The park has also been recognised with a Park Mark award under the Safer Parking Scheme, designed to reduce crime in car parks. It was pretty busy when we visited, but the stores are spacious enough that you didn’t feel claustrophobic with people. There also weren’t ridiculous till queues.

It was great to be able to shop some High St brands in somewhere less crowded. On the site there are a number of stores including Next, Next Home, Boots, Sports Direct and Hobby Craft. There is also an extensive array of food and beverage options available including Greggs, Subway and Patisserie Valerie. Although we took home our lunch from Sainsburys as we were done by 12:30!

On our visit I purchased a number of presents, but some of the people receiving read my blog so I shan’t showcase them. Although Dr W did buy me an amazing Sanctuary Spa Travel Kit and Marc Jacobs Daisy in Boots. I also got myself the cutest Mini Elf tree decoration and the cutest Christmas tee in Next. It was great to start some of our shopping, I will hopefully finish mine off this weekend. Although this time I will be braving the high street to find the last few gifts.

It looks like an extremely convenient place to shop. I live in London and while that has lots of advantages for shopping I often wish we could just go to one place to get everything!

It was much the same when we lived in Manchester. Although we learnt the very quiet times to head to the Trafford Centre to do our shopping. Everything was under one roof for that.
