I used to hate getting my haircut as a kid.To be honest I’m still kinda funny about it. Since moving to Worcester I’ve been unable to find a salon I’m 100% happy with. Luckily I think Blushes Worcester have come to my rescue.
Originally starting out in Nailsworth and then opening in Cheltenham, Blushes have now turned to Worcester. Based on New Street in the most gorgeous building, I went along to the opening to get a preview of the salon some weeks ago. The salon is light, airy and decorated with the most beautiful flowers. I couldn’t wait for my appointment to come around.
I got to the salon where I was greeted by Carina, who was cutting my hair. She took me downstairs to sit and chat about what I wanted done. I explained that I didn’t want a crazy cut with a wedding coming up this weekend and that I felt my arthritis medication is having an effect on my hair. (I’m on a very mild dose of a chemotherapy drug called methotrexate). Carina was lovely and supportive in my choices, she recommended a hair treatment, so I went through to the hair washing area to get that done.
For my hair treatment I had Loreal Smartbond, a two step process (in salon, and then one at home) of conditioning. That whilst is great for people who regularly colour their hair regularly. It’s also great for those who need a bit of life put back in their hair. I can tell you a week later (I have a special Smartbond conditioner to use a couple of times a week) and my hair still feels awesome. After my treatment Carina then went on to cut my hair. We had a good chat about all sorts and she checked with me every so often that I was happy and explained what she was doing. It was lovely to have an experience where I felt listened too as well as pampered!
Overall I had a wonderful experience at Blushes Worcester. I was listened too, made to feel comfortable (the most comfortable hair washing experience ever – recliner chairs for the win!) and I felt well looked after. I’m already planning on heading back ahead of my work Christmas do (that’ll be when I’m due my next cut).
Have you been to Blushes? Are you a fan of a proper pamper session? Let me know in the comments,
P.S. I was invited along to Blushes Worcester for a hair treatment and cut in return for an honest review. As ever all words, photos and opinions are my own.
P.P.S. Blushes Worcester is located at 1 New Street, Worcester, WR1 2D.
